A study app parents can trust

The free plan is completely free — no credit card required. Building 3 study guides a month and all 11 games are free, along with a readiness score and a short Mini Practice Quiz. The only charge is if a parent chooses to subscribe to AvaStudy Unlimited ($6.99/month or $59.99/year, beta pricing), which adds unlimited uploads plus full Practice Tests and a personalized study plan; the monthly plan can start with a 3-day free trial, after which it renews automatically until canceled. Billing goes through Stripe's secure checkout, requires a credit card entered by an adult, and children cannot add a payment method or change billing on their own.

No. Coins are earned by studying — correct answers, completing games, and daily streaks. They're spent on cosmetic items for the pet (background colors, hats, glasses, frames). There is no way to buy coins with real money, no loot boxes, and no premium currency.

AvaStudy collects the minimum needed to run the app: a Google account email for sign-in, and the content your child uploads to create study guides. We do not collect browsing history, location, or any sensitive personal data. Nothing is sold to third parties.

AvaStudy is built for K–12 students — the grade picker runs from kindergarten through high school, with College and a not-in-school option for older learners — and the material comes from whatever your child is actually studying. Sign-up requires confirming that the user is 13 or older, or that a parent or guardian is assisting, and for a child under 13 we expect a parent or guardian to set up and oversee the account. We collect only what the app needs to run: a Google account name and email for sign-in, a first name, a grade level, and the study material your child uploads. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without a parent or guardian involved, and you can review or delete all of it at any time from Settings → Parents & Safety.

Yes. Your child can log the grade they got on a real test for a guide, and the weekly progress email connects it — "practiced this guide four times, then scored 91%." The grade is private to your child's account; a teacher who shared the guide never sees it. It's there so you can see practice turning into results, not just time spent.

Yes. The weekly progress email has a Homework section: how many assignments are turned in versus outstanding, how many were finished late, and any that are overdue, by name. Your child is alerted in the app the moment a guide is assigned, and each assignment shows a banner that tracks their progress toward turning it in. Late work still counts — it is marked late rather than blocked, since the point is that they do the review.

Yes — account deletion is built into the app under Settings → Parents & Safety. Deletion is immediate and permanent: all study guides, progress, coins, and personal data are erased. You can also contact us directly and we will handle it immediately.
