The biggest difference

With Cram.com

Cram.com hosts user-made flashcard sets with a flip view and two basic study modes. You either type a set out yourself or hope a stranger’s set matches your class — and the site leans heavily on ads.

With AvaStudy

AvaStudy builds the cards from your actual material in seconds — no typing, no hunting for a match — and turns them into 20+ game modes with concept tracking and no ads on the free plan.

The whole game library, from one upload

The same material becomes every one of these — nothing to build by hand.

Common questions

Is there a Cram.com alternative that makes the flashcards automatically?↓

Yes. AvaStudy reads your photo, PDF, or notes and builds the deck for you — no typing each card, and no searching for someone else’s set that half matches your class.

Does AvaStudy have ads?↓

AvaStudy has no ads. Create 3 study guides in total for free, with every compatible study game included — 20+ games in the current library — plus a readiness score on every guide, 5 Study Tutor messages a day, mastery tracking, pets, coins, streaks, and a Season Path of rewards. AvaStudy Unlimited ($6.99/month or $59.99/year) adds unlimited study-guide uploads, full Practice Tests, the full readiness breakdown (every concept grouped as Mastered, Getting There, Needs Work or Not Started, with practice for what is left), a personalized study plan, unlimited Study Tutor messages, and app themes.

Can I study my own material, not a stranger’s set?↓

That is the whole idea — upload your worksheet, notes, or textbook page and the games are built from your exact material.
