.pptx and Google Slides links cannot be uploaded as-is. Export to PDF first — it takes one step and keeps every slide, including the ones with the definitions on them.

Bullet-point slides convert best

Decks where each slide states a term and explains it give AvaStudy clean pairs. A deck that is mostly images or one word per slide will produce fewer cards — pair it with your notes in the same upload.

Speaker notes are not included

A PDF export captures the slides, not the presenter notes underneath. If the real content lives in the notes, print/export with notes included, or paste them in alongside.
